3つのコンサート・マーチより「地音」

　「Ji’on」漢字で書けば「地音」、実はこの曲は「3つのコンサート・マーチ」という作品の第2曲です。

　地球の鼓動というと大袈裟ですが、何度か登場するコラールの部分などそんな雰囲気を持っています。ソナタ形式で書かれています。

　序奏とコラールの後、ブラスの伴奏に乗って20小節から第1テーマが木管群で奏されます。転調しながら何度か繰り返され、66小節から第2テーマ、ここの木管の伴奏は7/8で書かれています。短いつなぎがあって102小節から第1テーマによるフガート(完全ではないフーガ様式の部分)、ここから短い展開部です。

　コラールがあって再現部、159小節から第2テーマ、175小節からまたフガート、長いコーダとなります。

　「3つのコンサート・マーチ」はこの曲の他に「Kai’on」「Ten’on」があります。この3曲はタイトルとしてひとつの流れを作ったのですが、曲としてはそれぞれ独立していますから単独で取り上げていただいて結構です。3曲続けて演奏していただく場合は、この曲は2曲目としてお願いします。

Toshiyuki Mukai has composed three marches, “Kai’on”, “Ji’on” and “Ten’on”, inspired by earth, sea and sky. Each piece takes it inspiration from the specific element and portrays the composer’s image of what that element means to him. Together, these three marches make a wonderful suite, but each is independent and can be played separately. Ji’on means the sound of the earth. It is the second movement of Three Concert Marches, also in sonata form.
After an introduction that features a chorale, the first theme is played by woodwind with an accompaniment of the brass instruments.
This material is repeated several times, with modulations before a new theme, in 7/8 is introduced. The first theme returns in a shortfugato, followed by a return of the chorale and second theme. The march ends with a long coda that incorporates all the thema ticmaterial.
