SYMPHONIC OVERTURE：Composer: Masanori FUKUDA

This piece was composed in September 2021 as a brass and percussion octet for brass ensemble (6 members) and percussion (2 members) at the request of Ms Keiko Watanabe, teacher of the brass band of IshigeNishi Junior High School (Ibaraki Prefecture).The piece begins with a bright fanfare, followed by a Japanese rhythmic melody played in various forms. In the middle section, the Japanese melody is played lyrically, creating a grand festivallike music, and in the second half, the tempo is lively again, bringing the piece to a grand conclusion.
