リフトオフ！
修文女子高等学校吹奏楽部(指揮・指導:村山茂雄先生)からの委嘱により2020年に作曲。同校が2019年に『きらめく大空に向かって』をコンクールで取り上げたことがきっかけとなり、その続編的な位置づけとしてこの曲が生まれました。スタイルは両曲とも共通点がありますが、難易度としては本作の方がやや高く、やりがいのある内容となっています。ちなみに「リフトオフ」とはロケットなどの打ち上げを意味することば。「どこまでも上を向いて突き進もう!」という思いが込められています。
明るく活き活きと、そして堂々としたサウンドでスピード感ある音楽を奏でてください。

LIFT OFF!
This piece was commissioned by the Shubun Girls’ High School Wind Ensemble (conductor/instructor: Mr. Shigeo Murayama) and composed in 2020.
The school had previously performed “Shine Towards the Boundless Sky” in a competition in 2019, which inspired the composition of this piece as its sequel. Although both pieces are similar in style, this piece is slightly more difficult to master and can be rather challenging. The phrase “lift off” is a reference to the launch of a rocket, and the piece was given this title with the hope that it can serve as a powerful source of motivation for the students to soldier on. Please perform this piece with a brisk tempo and strive for a bright, lively, and majestic sound.
