「海のヴォカリーズ」は人魚姫を題材にした「プリンセス・マーメイド」の第8曲です。現在フォスターミュージックより、フルート3-4重奏オプションピアノ版が発売されています。（フルートオーケストラなどもあります。）王子を愛してしまった人魚姫。海に身を投げる前の葛藤を表現しました。
この度、紫園香先生の委嘱により、フルートとピアノ版が誕生しました。2023年8月に銀座教文館「いのちの夏フェスティバル」で菅野万利子先生のピアノで初演されました。また、この作品が収録されたCDも発売されています。演奏や鑑賞で楽しんでいただければ幸いです。
この楽譜はオプショナルパート譜つきです。色々な楽器でお楽しみください。素敵な表紙を制作してくださった市原聖子氏にも感謝します。（三浦真理）

この曲はフルートを中心とする管楽器合唱曲など、幅広い作品群で大人気の現代作曲家、三浦真理さんの作品です。アンデルセン原作「人魚姫」を題材に作曲されたプリンセスマーメイドの中で、クライマックスにあたるのがこの《海のヴォカリーズ》です。王子の幸せを祈りながら、海の藻屑と消えていくプリンセスの切ない心情、犠牲的愛が、荒波を思わせるピアノのうねりに乗せて切々と歌われます。どうしても皆様に聞いていただきたくて、今回の録音のために作曲者にお願いしてフルートピアノバージョンに書き換えていただきました。（紫園香）

SEA VICALISE FROM PRINCESS MERMAID

"Sea Vocalise" is the eighth piece in Princess Mermaid, a work inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid. Currently available from Fostermusic, this version is arranged for three to four flutes with an optional piano part.

The composition portrays the poignant inner conflict of the mermaid as she falls in love with the prince, ultimately choosing to sacrifice herself by plunging into the sea. Commissioned by Kaori Shion, this flute and piano arrangement was newly created and premiered in August 2023 at the Life’s Summer Festival hosted by the Ginza Kyobunkan, with Mariko Kanno on piano. Additionally, a CD featuring this piece is now available. We hope you enjoy it, whether performing or listening.

This work is a composition by Mari Miura, a contemporary composer widely celebrated for her enchanting flutecentered pieces and choral works for wind instruments. Among the Princess Mermaid series, which draws from Andersen’s The Little Mermaid, Sea Vocalise represents the emotional climax. The piece poignantly depicts the selfsacrificing love of the princess, who wishes for the prince's happiness as she fades into the sea foam. The emotional depth is conveyed through the undulating piano passages, reminiscent of the turbulent waves, and the flute’s expressive, heartfelt melody.

To ensure this moving piece reaches a wider audience, we requested the composer to create this new flute and piano version specifically for this recording. (Kaori Shion)
