パリのアメリカ人（小編成版）

この小編成版は、小江戸（こえど）ウインドアンサンブル 1stコンサートのためにアレンジしたものを元に、今回の出版にあたって、オーボエ、バスーンをオプショナルとして追加しました。

初演時の人数は、クラリネットが各2名、後のパートは各1名でしたので、最小20名で演奏できますが、実際には各パートの人数は多くても問題ありません。

打楽器も２パート、ドラムセットを数名で分けて、バスドラムはグランカッサ（大太鼓）で、シンバルは合わせシンバルで演奏しても良いでしょう。

2015年9月小江戸ウインドアンサンブル 1stコンサートにて初演。

The original score for
orchestra added parts for saxophone, celesta and car horns and used Gershwin’s classic mix of jazz age harmonies with classical melodies and forms to paint a colourful picture of people in a streets at all hours of the night and day, in what Gershwin saw as the energetic frenzy of one of the major cultural centres of Europe of the era.

Arranger Toru Kanayama has created two settings of Gershwin’s score.

This arrangement was designed to be performed by groups as small as 20 with as few as one or two players on a part but the work is equally effective if forces are greater.

Percussion parts are designed for as few as two players, but parts can be shared when more are available.

This arrangement was premiered by Koedo Wind Ensemble at its first concert in September 2015.

楽器編成

金山徹(Tohru Kanayama)

1960年山口県生まれ。小学校の金管バンドでトランペット／ユーフォニアムを、中学･高校の吹奏楽部でクラリネットを担当。武蔵野音楽大学卒業。卒業後はマルチリード、キーボード奏者、作編曲家として、ミュージカルの公演、コンサート、レコーディングに参加。吹奏楽や管楽器のための作編曲も多く、ポップスを中心に、ヤマハ・ミュージック・メディア、ブレーン、ウィンズスコア、イースター音楽出版、フォスターミュージック、ミュージック・エイトからの出版をはじめ、レコーディング、コンクール、コンサート、映画のための作編曲作品多数。

第14回21世紀の吹奏楽"饗宴"入選。クラリネットを千葉国夫、村井祐児、柏野晋吾、西村一の各氏に師事。作曲は池田一秀、池田悟の各氏に師事したものの、ほぼ独学。江古田楽器祭総合プロデューサー。
