閃光（「機動戦士ガンダム　閃光のハサウェイ」主題歌）

アニメーション作品ガンダムシリーズの最新作「機動戦士ガンダム　閃光のハサウェイ」で、1989年に出版され発行部数130万部を誇る富野由悠季の同名小説をアニメーション映画化したもの。日本のロックバンド[Alexandros]が主題歌「閃光」を担当している。　

この曲は全編を通してギター中心のサウンドです。このようなロック・バンドの曲ですと、#系の調の場合が多いのですが、幸いにもこの曲はb系の調なので、原調のまま吹奏楽編曲することができました。　

冒頭のギターのメロディは1st Cl.だけになっていますが、2ndと3rdにガイドが入れてありますので、適宜演奏してください。[C]のバックリフ（B.Cl, Sax, Euph）にベントの指定がありますが、さりげないベンドのほうが良いでしょう。[F]2小節前はキメに見えますが、後半のリズムがメロディとバッキングで半拍ズレていますので、注意しましょう。D.S.の3小節前のDrum Soloはかなり細かい譜割になっていますので、難しいようでしたら16分音符を8分音符に変更しても構いません。D.S.直前の小節（3/4）は誰も演奏していません（G.P.）ので、フェルマータにして長めに止まっても面白いでしょう。

金山徹(Tohru Kanayama)

1960年山口県生まれ。小学校の金管バンドでトランペット／ユーフォニアムを、中学･高校の吹奏楽部でクラリネットを担当。武蔵野音楽大学卒業。卒業後はマルチリード、キーボード奏者、作編曲家として、ミュージカルの公演、コンサート、レコーディングに参加。吹奏楽や管楽器のための作編曲も多く、ポップスを中心に、ヤマハ・ミュージック・メディア、ブレーン、ウィンズスコア、イースター音楽出版、フォスターミュージック、ミュージック・エイトからの出版をはじめ、レコーディング、コンクール、コンサート、映画のための作編曲作品多数。

第14回21世紀の吹奏楽"饗宴"入選。クラリネットを千葉国夫、村井祐児、柏野晋吾、西村一の各氏に師事。作曲は池田一秀、池田悟の各氏に師事したものの、ほぼ独学。江古田楽器祭総合プロデューサー。

The latest work in the Gundam animated series, Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash, is an animated film adaptation of Yoshiyuki Tomino's novel of the same name, originally published in 1989 and boasting 1.3 million copies sold. The Japanese rock band [Alexandros] performs the theme song, Senko.

This piece features guitarcentered sound throughout. Typically, rock band pieces tend to be in sharp keys, but fortunately, this song is in a flat key, allowing for a wind band arrangement to be made in the original key.

The opening guitar melody is assigned only to 1st Clarinet, but guides are provided for 2nd and 3rd, so feel free to have them play as needed. In section [C], there are bend instructions for Bass Clarinet, Saxophones, and Euphonium, but a subtle bend would be more effective. Two measures before [F], the phrase appears to be a hit, but note that the latter half of the rhythm is off by half a beat between the melody and the backing, so be cautious. The drum solo three measures before D.S. features very fine subdivisions; if it's too difficult, you can simplify it by changing sixteenth notes to eighth notes. The measure just before D.S. (in 3/4 time) is a G.P. (grand pause), with no one playing, so it might be interesting to extend it with a fermata.
