●演奏上のアドバイス
無調作品ですが、鮮烈な色彩感を目指して演奏して頂ければと思います。各奏法を明確にし、重要な要素であるリズムと効果音を全面に出しながら全体を作り上げてください。特殊奏法について、Fluteのover blowは強烈な息音を混ぜて音を吹いてください。Saxophoneのslapはよりパーカッシブな響きを意識してください。String Bassのknock the bodyは楽器のボディを叩いて太鼓のような音を出してください。叩き方はタップでもノックでも任意ですが、コンコンと乾いた音がイメージに近いです。練習の際は手と楽器に細心の注意を払ってください。全体にレガートとスタッカートの表現をより強調し、響きの対比を付けてみてください。曲の最後のSaxophoneによるノイズによる特殊奏法は、音(色）が飛び散った様子を表現してみてください。(江原大介)

SPLASH OF MIXED COLOR

This piece was commissioned by Musee d'Art harmonie in 2017. The piece features an acoustic landscape where various tones blend together like a mixture of different colors before exploding in a dazzling burst of sound. I hope you will enjoy the way different notes come and go by imagining each instrument as a different color. The same phrases and elements are recapitulated throughout the piece, and they are projected onto our subconscious as the piece unfolds. The music undergoes a series of condensations and separations before finally exploding in a climax.　PERFORMANCE ADVICEPlease do your best to perform this atonal piece by keeping the intensity of different colors in mind. Pay attention to the different performance techniques and build an integrated sound by always focusing on the essential elements of rhythm and sound effects. With regard to the special techniques, the over blow of the flute should involve the powerful sounds of your breath, and the saxophone slaps should have a percussive sound. When knocking the body of the string bass, try to create a taikolike sound. You can tap or knock the body of the instrument in your preferred way, but a dry thud is closer to the intended effect. Pay attention to your hand movements and the instrument during practice. Emphasize the use of legato and staccato throughout the piece, and focus on adding contrast to the sound. The special noisebased technique for the saxophone in the final section of the piece should create the impression of a burst of sound like an explosion of different colors.
