2020年3月に東京・新宿のJDRサロンで開催予定だった三谷真紀さんとのミニコンサート「オーボエダモーレの響き」では全6曲の演奏を予定しており、その中に真紀さんからの要望をいただき演奏に組み込まれ、編曲にとりくみ演奏を準備しておりました。ところが演奏会はコロナ感染対策のため延期となってしまい、いずれお披露目をと時期を伺っておりましたが、その翌年2月に真紀さんは病のため帰らぬ人となってしまいました。もう二度と真紀さんの生演奏に触れることができないかと思うと無念でなりません。真紀さんのこの曲への想いを共に感じていただければ、編者としても幸いです。（高嶋圭子）

"This road was one that I had walked down one day..."This song, which opens with these spoken words that look back on the narrator's memories, was written by Hakushu Kitahara and composed by Kosaku Yamada. It was published in the magazine "Akai Tori" in 1926.

My joint miniconcert "The Sound of the Oboe d'amore" with Maki Mitani was scheduled to be held at the JDR Salon in Shinjuku, Tokyo, in March 2020, where a total of six pieces were on the setlist. I had been working on the arrangement of these pieces and preparing for the concert while involving Maki in the planning upon her request. However, the concert had to be postponed due to the COVID19 pandemic, and we had been looking for a time to reschedule it. Unfortunately, Maki passed away from an illness in February of the following year. I am overwhelmed by regret whenever I think of how I would never be able to experience the joy of Maki's live performances again. As its arranger, I would be delighted if Maki's thoughts on this piece resonate with you as well.
